The Standard Authoring SDK package is a user-friendly interfacing and build-in quality control, software development kit, for creating customized Blu-ray titles.
All functional routines in the package have been developed and constructed under Microsoft Visual C++ compiler (6.0) environment. They are in a type of Regular DLL with MFC statically linked.
Blu-ray Authoring -
The Blu-ray authoring engine provides functional routines for creating BDMV structure based upon Blu-ray Core Specifications (Part 3-1, Audio Visual Basic). User may build PlayLists containing multiple PlayItems. Each PlayList may include MainPath and optional SubPath.
In the recording portion, the writelib can be instructed to record BDMV on either BD-R/RE discs or DVD recordable disc (including DVD+R DL) in logical format of UDF 2.50. When BDMV has been recorded on DVD disc, it plays as AVCHD formatted disc. Most of the BD features remain in the AVCHD disc, except that the data transfer rate is limited to 10.08 mbps vs. 54 mbps (max) for Blu-ray disc.
